You Are My Rock

Happy hearts day everyone!  May this day surround you with love, warm your heart, and give you some big smiles.  While this holiday has traditionally been about celebrating love on a romantic level, it’s more than eating a box of chocolates or smelling some roses with baby’s breath nestled between.  This holiday is a reminder of all of the special people we love in our lives on multiple levels each and every day even if we don’t say it.  The people we call our “rocks.”  Those who support us when times get rough and cheer us up when we’re feeling blue—the people we count on to bring us through our lives.

From family to friends, pets to communities, and more, it is also a reminder to ourselves to show self-compassion and self-care.

This year I wrote a traditional but fun project to celebrate the gift and connectivity writing gives us on Valentine’s Day.  If you haven’t checked it out, then wander here https://www.redbicyclebooks.com/holidayprojects and give it a scan, and if you are inclined, pick up a pen and print one of the templates to author a love letter to the special rocks in your life not only today but anytime you feel like sending a shout out of love.

There is nothing like opening a good old-fashioned letter to express how you feel about someone.

Today I invite you to think about who the special rocks are in your life.  The ones that keep you grounded when it feels like nothing is going right, the ones that bring out the sunshine even on a gloomy day.  And most importantly, the ones that don’t let you sink to the bottom alone regardless if Cupid is watching or not.

Sending you lots of love and happiness not only today, but each day.

Cheering for you!
