Poetry Moves Us Official Submission Rules
Submission dates
Poetry submission opens March 1, 2025 with a final submission date of July 31st 2025 12:00am CST. Poetry submitted past the deadline will not be included in the 2025 issue, but will be considered for the next year's issue.
Participation and eligibility
Poetry is open to participants age 12 and up and all over the world. Poetry must be submitted in the English language only. A poet may submit up to three poems of any length to be featured in Poetry Moves Us magazine. All poems submitted must be original work. Poetry that is copied, plagiarized, or from other sources, including AI, will not be accepted. The poet must certify the poetry is original work.
Poetry that is considered offensive, promotes acts of violence or hate, will not be accepted. Red Bicycle Books, LLC reserves the right to refuse to publish poetry with or without written notice.

Click on the Poetry Moves Us form submission. Enter all the required fields. Read and review the Official Poetry Moves Us Submission Rules. Check to consent you have read and acknowledge the form rules. Click submit.
Use of data
By entering and submitting your poetry and personal data, you consent to provide Red Bicycle Books LLC (including without limitation (name, email, and biography (if applicable) and your poems, when the poetry form is submitted.
A poet may include a brief 150-word or less biography. The poet's name will be published exactly as it is completed in the submission form. Data will be collected for purposes of Poetry Moves Us magazine only.
Right to publish
By submitting your poetry in the submission form, you grant Red Bicycle Books LLC the right to publish your name, biography (if applicable), poem title and poetry to be featured in Poetry Moves Us magazine exactly how it is submitted in the form.
Your name, poem name, and poetry will be published as submitted in the submission form. Please edit and proofread poems prior to submission. Red Bicycle Books, LLC is not responsible for misspelled words, typos, grammatical errors, or punctuation errors.
Notification of participation
Poets to be included in Poetry Moves Us will be notified via email by August 6, 2025.
Poetry moves us Distribution
Poetry Moves Us will be featured on our News site as well as the Poetry Moves Us page, and be featured in our quarterly newsletter publication, "Words in Motion." The publication is free and downloadable. Tag us in your social media profile.
General conditions
Red Bicycle Books, LLC is not responsible for publication errors including grammatical, punctuation, spelling, omissions or errors and will publish per receipt of the submission entry form.
By submitting to the publication, you forever waive any and all claims or cause of action against Red Bicycle Books LLC any companies or providers associated with the publication, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, affiliates, members, owners, shareholders, officers, directors, employees and agents arising out of participation in the publication, including but not limited to any injury or damage to persons or property, including death, which may be caused, indirectly or directly, in whole or part, from entrant's participation in the publication, including without limitation, any cancellation.
Red Bicycle Books LLC reserves the right to modify the publication if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the publication in its sole discretion.
If there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the publication, if any technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the publication, Red Bicycle Books, LLC reserves the right in its sole discretion to void any submissions at issue (including disqualifying any individual who tampers or interferes with the entry process), and to terminate, modify or cancel the publication, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. Red Bicycle Books, LLC in no way promotes illegal acts, any and all entries which include or promote illegal acts will be disqualified.
Red Bicycle Books, LLC assumes no responsibility for any error, interruption, omission, deletion, defect or delay in operation, transmission, communication failure, theft or destruction of unauthorized access to entry. Red Bicycle Books, LLC is not responsible for technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or entry received by Red Bicycle Books, LLC on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to submission publication or other person's computer, phone or tablet resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the contest.
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, RED BICYCLE BOOKS LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
